’90 Day Fiance’: Angela Deem Breaks Down Ahead Of Her Wedding To Michael Ilesanmi

The fifth season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After revolved around Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi planning their wedding in Nigeria.

Much to the chagrin of Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi, their wedding planning didn’t go entirely smoothly. The recently concluded episodes of the fifth season of TLC’s hit reality show witnessed highly charged fights about Angela resisting to be a submissive wife, to concerns surrounding her potential infertility.

These challenges didn’t stop the unlikely couple from planning their marriage ceremony. With the wedding just around the corner, Michael and Angela visited a florist in Nigeria to get a special bouquet to represent Angela’s family members including her daughter, and six grandchildren who would not be attending the nuptials.

A recently surfaced 90 Day Fiance promo shows Angela breaking down in tears as she opens up about her family not attending her wedding to Michael. A sneak peek for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, the couple is seen visiting Kofo, a local florist in Michael’s home country of Nigeria, to talk about Angela’s bridal bouquet.

Angela told TLC producers that visiting the floral shop made her impending wedding feel more real. “I get goosebumps because the bouquet is like the topping—after the dress, you get the cake, and then the bouquet is like the topping,” the nervous and super excited 90 Day Fiance star admitted.

Angela had already decided about the flowers she’d be carrying down the aisle. She wanted her bridal bouquet to represent her six grandkids, daughter, and mother who won’t be attending the wedding.

She wanted eight flowers in the color of her eight relatives’ birthstones. The bouquet would be graced by aquamarine-blue blossoms for those who were born in March, citrine-yellow blooms to represent November birthdays, and sapphire-blue flowers would represent September birthdays.

After she described the bouquet that would take the place of her family at the wedding, Angela became upset. She broke down in tears as she realized some of the most important people in her life will not be witnessing her wedding to Michael.

Angela’s friend JoJo, who is currently in Texas, would fly to Nigeria to serve as her matron of honor. Michael comforted Angela, assuring his bride-to-be that they would leave no stone unturned in a bid to represent her mother in her absence.

“Even with the bouquet, it’s not the same,” Angela told the show’s producers. “This wedding ain’t gonna be easy for me at all,” she added.

While she admitted that it was a happy moment in her life, Angela noted that her aging mom’s illness made the wedding added a tinge of sadness. “I want her to know that I got all of them here with me in my mind and my heart,” she said.
