90 Day Fiance: The Other Way stars Ariela and Biniyam have found out that their 9-month-old son Avi will need surgery.
In a sneak peek of this week’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Ariela and Biniyam take their son Avi to the pediatrician. The 9-month-old boy has a “bulge in his groin area” that appears every time he gets angry or cries.
“As a new mom, anytime we bring Avi to the doctor I’m always worried that they’re going to give us some bad news,” Ari admitted in a confessional.
“I’m just hoping they’re going to reassure me that everything is fine and I’m just having a first-time mom overreaction,” she added.
Ari and Bini are currently seeking help from Dr. Nebiyat Tesfaye. Dr. Tesfaye offers a diagnosis after examining baby Avi in his office.”I think that he has a hernia, so what he needs is a surgical intervention which he will need as soon as possible,” Dr. Tesfaye explains.
Ari raises concerns over her son having surgery. She feels that operation is an extreme step. “It’s shocking,” she said. “But it’s common in pediatrics age and lots of babies go through this surgery,” the doctor assures the concerned mother.
She is understandably concerned and nervous about the idea of Avi having anesthesia. She asks the doctor if they can postpone the surgery, according to a report from People.
“This should be done as soon as possible because that hernia you are seeing is the intestine,” the doctor warns. According to the doctor, delaying the surgery could lead to further problems.
Ari and Bini made their debut in season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. In this season, the couple is living with their son, Avi in Ethiopia.
