90 Day Fiancé star Darcey Silva has announced her engagement to Georgi Rusev.
The couple was engaged earlier this year but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they kept their engagement news private and finally announced the news when they could aptly celebrate it.
Silva said that she still felt newly engaged and wasn’t able to celebrate it with everybody. She further added that it was a surprise for her and that she and Georgi have a deep connection, and at that moment she wasn’t expecting it at all.
The couple had moved in earlier this year but the pandemic caused hindrance in Georgi’s plan for the proposal. Rusev said that it was difficult for him to find the ring, make calls, make the reservation for the boat, and dinner.
Last year, the couple met on social media and eventually had a face-to-face rendezvous in Miami during Super Bowl weekend.
According to Silva, the connection between her and Rusev was ‘instant’ and felt like a very comfortable, warm feeling. She juxtaposed her “warm feelings” and the “feeling of home”.
Like any other couple, their relationship too consisted of hardships. In an episode of TLC’s Darcey & Stacey, it was disclosed that Georgi was still married and was going through a divorce.
Rusev said that they (he and Silva) understand each other, have each other’s backs and feel very secure with each other. Silva added that everybody would face issues from time to time, but if they could communicate and talk through that, that’s what she had always wanted in a relationship.’
Silva’s quest for love was viewed by fans on 90 Day Fiancé, which featured her long-distance relationship with Jesse Meester. This first romance was abolished in an episode that aired in September 2018 and Silva pursued a relationship with Tom which ended late last year.
Darcy Silva said that she had always wanted a partner in life where she could raise each other up and not shoot each other down. She further added that she had decided that the next relationship she got in, she would say what she wanted. Stay tuned in here for the latest television news!
