Fans remember how rude Big Ed was to Rose Marie “Rose” Vega on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.
Known for his Hellman’s mayonnaise hair treatments, Big Ed Brown is one of the sketchiest significant others to make an appearance on the 90 Day Fiance franchise since its premiere in 2014, and fans can understandably not forgive him for how he treated Rose. Ed garnered popularity even among those who never watched the show.
Even over a year after Ed appeared on the popular program alongside Rose, a lot of fans continue supporting his then-fiancee and dislike Ed. During his relationship with Rose, who is from the Philippines, Ed complained, disrespected, and even put her family down, and lied.
He didn’t make enough effort to get acquainted with his fiancee’s culture. Rose understands English, however, her native language is Tagalog. Ed took her lack of ability to comprehend the English language as a sign of low intelligence, talking to her as though she were a child, SreenRant reported.
“It’s a snip-snip,” he said to describe the vasectomy procedure that he had.
As if that weren’t enough, Ed urged Rose to take an STD test, making her feel that he didn’t trust her. He then apologized in Rose’s native language using a translation app. He previously used words like “pequeño” and “pocito” referring to their significant difference in height.
Despite having gone through the vasectomy procedure, Ed told Rose that he will have kids with her. Rose, who was 23 at the time, wanted to have two kids. Ed had a weak explanation for hiding the fact that he had the procedure saying, “I didn’t know how [to tell you].”
Due to Ed constantly complaining about Rose’s alleged bad breath, her leg hair, and poor living condition, their relationship came to an end. Fans came forward to defend Rose, insisting that she deserved better and called her more mature than Ed, who was much older than her.
“I think you [don’t] love me,” she had told him, “I’m done.” She even left without telling him goodbye, and later showed off an amazing transformation that dazzled her fans. She went on to start her own YouTube channel, which currently has almost 700,000 subscribers.
