90 Day Fiance stars Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh are drawing flak for disrespecting Gaudiya Vaishnava’s religious organization, ISKCON.
A considerable number of 90 Day Fiance viewers have called out Jenny Slatten for misusing and showcasing a lack of respect for ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness). The American meemaw made her debut alongside her Indian boyfriend Sumit Singh on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way season 1. Their rollercoaster relationship has usually received a lot of support from the TLC viewers.
Jenny doesn’t usually come under fire from her fans. The pair faced severe opposition from his parents Anila and Sahana. A lot of her social media followers urge her to leave the country and return to the United States. However, the reality TV star is still in India with her boyfriend. She has remained undeterred despite all sorts of problems surrounding her relationship with the former call center employee, who is almost 30 years her junior.
How is Jenny Slatten Planning To Remain In India For A Longer Period?
Jenny and Sumit’s immigration attorney advised Jenny to stay in India by becoming a missionary for ISKCON. This would enable her to get a missionary visa and stay in the country for a longer period. Despite being a non-religious person, Jenny agreed to become an advocate of ISKCON. Considering that she is doing it just to stay with her boyfriend in India, many 90 Day Fiance viewers think it is disrespectful, per ScreenRant.
A TLC viewer on Reddit called her out for using a loophole to remain in the country with Sumit. The fan added, “I find this deeply disrespectful to another religion and culture to do this.”
“Here we take ISKCON and its followings seriously and you joining it just to extend your Visa in India is wrong on so many levels.”
“She lives with a liar. It’s become ‘normal’ to her,” another fan chimed in. This sounds particularly bad because Jenny isn’t really interested in learning about the Hindu religion, its scriptures, or Lord Krishna. Her immigration attorney suggested another way that would let Jenny remain in India permanently. She could give up her American citizenship and become an Indian citizen. However, Jenny refused to adopt that approach.
Many fans argued that if she loves Sumit and wants to be with him, she shouldn’t have a problem giving up her citizenship. Do you support Jenny and her decision? Let us know in the comments section below.
