“90 Day Fiance” star Tiffany Franco Smith is planning to continue with her divorce proceedings with her South African husband Ronald Smith.
In the recent past, the couple has been going through multiple issues and Tiffany had considered divorce even in the past. The couple decided to give one last chance to their relationship which they revealed during “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Season 6.”

Tiffany announced to her Instagram fans on Sunday with the caption, “Just left my husband after 8 years of abuse. Freedom feels so good.” One of her fans picked the 24-hour disappearing message from IG and put it on Reddit.
“Does anyone have any information about international divorce married overseas but still living in two separate countries how does one start the process?” Tiffany asked the fans along with this caption. She also wrote, ”applied for something online” but wanted to know further. When a fan talked about freedom after getting out of an abusive relationship, Tiffany agreed with the fan, ”Can’t wait till I can say the same. My brain is like broken now can’t tell the difference between okay behavior and not okay behavior.”
The Fans React
One fan commented, ”What’s up with all of them asking followers for lawyers? It’s not that hard to be an adult and research lawyers around your area.” Right from the time when fans met the couple in “90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Season 1” there have been two teams amongst them. Some fans feel that Tiffany is right as Ronald is not a good father or husband. Another group finds Tiffany responsible for the break-up.
Another fan slammed Tifanny, “what part of anything Tiffany has ever done makes you think she’s capable of being an adult.”
How did the Problems Escalate?
The couple got married in South Africa in October 2018 and Tiffany conceived immediately. However, due to the criminal records of Ronald, his K1 visa proceedings could not go further. Tiffany was alone in Maryland, USA when she welcomed their daughter Carley.

When the couple was on “90 Day Fiance: The Other Way”, Tiffany spoke with immigration officer Robert Gillespie. He informed Tiffany that even though most of Ronald’s criminal record charges were dismissed, they still will impact his K1 visa. There were multiple charges against him- stealing money, an armed robbery, and a drug charge.
She visited Ronald in South Africa in 2019, she didn’t find a place safe for her children to grow up. Moreover, she was upset as Ronald was not taking the mock visa interviews seriously. She was angry with Ronald as he did not show any signs be being a responsible father. His earnings were limited and he did not know how to plan for the finances.
Even after Tiffany came back to the US, she tried to maintain the relationship. Why? For the sake of the two children Daniel and Carley. However, it seems the long-distance relationship is bogging them down. Ronald has been claiming that he wants to keep the children with him in South Africa if Tiffany decides to go for a divorce.

Ronald isn’t Daniel’s father. He has no legal rights to him. He doesn’t have a good job so how would he support them? He can barely support himself!! He and Tiffany were not right for each other. She is very controlling. Better that they go their separate ways.
