Multiple obstacles are stopping 90 Day Fiance star Yara Zaya from visiting her home country, Ukraine. Read on to know more!
It is no secret that family comes first for the 90 Day Fiance star Yara Zaya. However, its been quite some time since she has struggled to return home to Ukraine for a visit.
This is understandable given that Yara wants to introduce her daughter Mylah to all her friends and family members. Much to her chagrin, some frustrating obstacles are preventing her from going home.
To recall, Yara moved to New Orleans on the K-1 visa to be with Jovi Dufren at the start of 2020, before the coronavirus pandemic. Despite rocky beginnings, the duo turned out to be the most solid couple in the 90 Day Fiance franchise.
Now, Yara continues to thrive as a new mom as she grows close to Jovi’s family in Louisiana. However, she still misses home, especially since she never wanted to leave home and has a love for her home country.
Yara Zaya Can’t Travel To Ukraine
In a new episode of 90 Day Diaries, Yara revealed why she isn’t able to return to her home country. The reality TV personality said that a major roadblock is stopping her from traveling to Ukraine – she hasn’t gotten her Green Card yet.
Yara is restlessly waiting for her interview appointment. So, if she leaves the United States before the approval of her paperwork, her Green Card application could be considered abandoned.
The pandemic, coupled with Hurricane Ida has put a lot of strain on government agencies. Ida caused property damage and power loss in Louisiana, further delaying Yara’s Green Card process, as per a report by ScreenRant.
Russia-Ukraine Conflict
Also, even after Yara’s Green Gard application get approval, she still won’t be able to travel to Ukraine since the country is under attack from Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his troops to launch an assault on Ukraine back in February. It is still ongoing. This has caused Yara a lot of stress.
Nevertheless, she has assured her fans that her family is in a safe region, out of harm’s way. Moreover, the Department of State is urging Americans to not travel to Ukraine.
Yara isn’t likely to head to her home country anytime soon. It is not a safe place for her, Jovi, and especially Mylah.
