1000 lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has exceeded her weight loss goals ahead of getting a life-saving bariatric surgery.
After gaining back the weight she had lost, Tammy Slaton had no choice but to go into rehab. She wasn’t likely to come out of the facility until August.
However, a source close to Tammy has divulged an interesting piece of information about the 35-year-old 1000 lb Sisters star. According to the source, Tammy is getting bariatric surgery in June in Atlanta.
Much to the chagrin of her fans, the TLC star hasn’t been active on social media for a long time. The word on the street was that Tammy was secretly working on her weight.
Notably, Tammy shared major health updates with her fans on TikTok. However, she doesn’t seem to have lost any weight.
For those who are unaware, Tammy should be under 400 lbs to get a weight loss surgery. To recall, she weighed around 639 pounds at the time of entering the rehab facility.
Tammy Set To Undergo Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Soon
So, it seems that she worked on herself during her time in the rehab facility. Now, she is slated to get bariatric surgery as early as June.
Aside from this, she will reportedly get surgery on her knee. Meanwhile, it is unclear whether Tammy will appear on the fourth season of 1000-lb Sisters.
One of Tammy’s friends told The Sun that she might get her own TLC show. She hates her trach, although it’s gotten smaller. She only has to wear it part-time now,” the friend said.

Tammy’s friend also noted that she is ready to move back to Ohio and return to reality television. Further, the source claims that she plans to sign a book deal to share her side of the story.
Moreover, she wants to raise body positivity awareness by sharing her own journey. However, her sister isn’t interested in Tammy’s plans but is focusing on her growing family.
Amy Slaton is prepping to quit the show if TLC didn’t reduce her filming hours. It is good to see Tammy reaching her weight loss goal and getting healthier.
