On sunday, Udupi District Athletic Association organised ‘Syndicate Bank Udupi Half Marathon’ where a large number of people participated.

The marathon was flagged off by Actor-Director Prakash Raj in front of the Syndicate Bank Head Office.

The participants went through places like Indrali, Tiger Circle, Sharada Mantapa, MGM College Road, Paniyadi, Diana Road, Korangrapady, Kukkikatte, Guddeangady, Udyavar Cross, National Highway 66, Diana Circle, Kinnimulky, Kalikamba Temple Road, Jodu Katte, Ajjarkad, Taluk Office Road, K.M. Road, Kadiyali and Kalsank. Marathon culminated at the same place where it started from.

There was not only a 21 kilometer half marthon but also races for under 14, under 17 and under 21 categories. There was also a three kilometre race held for government employees, enthusiasts and others under the section of celebrities.
