Newly married couple decided in August 2018, to expand their furry family by adopting and rescuing a black Labrador. We and all fans of their former Suits star know, she was proud as a dog mom to Bogart with her beagle named Guy.
So, the news went viral when, the couple rescued a little puppy in 2018 and from then the mystery continued of its name, until now. The couple’s black lab’s moniker is Pula, as per the people who got an exclusive and excerpt from, the new tell-all book of royal reporters Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, “Finding Freedom: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with the Making of a Modern Royal Family.”
As if they weren’t sweet enough, the puppy named Pula actually holds a special meaning. The official currency of Botswana is called Pula, as per the royal reporters pointed on their new book Harry took Meghan to Botswana.
When they completed a year in their relationship, the book notes that the Pula also means “Rain” in Setswana. Rain is very scarce in Botswana and its seen as a blessing and very valuable.
Fans and followers might recall this as Prince Harry celebrated Meghan Markle’s 36th birthday with a trip to Africa. As per the sources at the time, this was the first time the royal family member was introduced to her friend circle. “They just want to get really close to the animals and the people,” our insider said of their getaway.
