Following the Big Brother 22 Week 5 Power of Veto competition, Tyler Crispen seemingly sacrificed himself for Da’Vonne Rogers and Bayleigh Dayton, claiming he wants to stand for something bigger.
Christmas Abbott was chosen as the Head of Household for Week 5 after a close battle. She nominated Da’Vonne Rogers and Bayleigh Dayton because they weren’t in alliance with her, and she saw them as a pair.
Moreover, the HOH wasn’t keen on having Bayleigh on the jury because she thought the BB20 star would make an emotionally-driven decision when it comes to voting, an idea Tyler Crispen, Nicole Franzel, and Dani Donato Briones told her several over the past two weeks. Tyler told Da’Vonne that Nicole and Dani were targetting her and Bayleigh, the same warning her friend received from Ian Terry.
The BB14 champ backtracked, so Da’Vonne revealed Tyler as her source. Throwing BB20 runner-up under the bus, Dani revealed that he pitted the girls against each other. Therefore Nicole, Bayleigh, Dani, and Da’Vonne went to Christmas with a plan to backdoor Tyler as they assured they would have the votes to evict him.
Given that the HOH has a final two deal with the BB20 runner-up, she turned the idea down. Tyler told Ian that he turned down the offer to return for All-Stars, but his girlfriend and BB20 star Angela Rummans called the shoemakers behind his back and said he would compete.
He said he feels “stuck.” Last week, Tyler said he wasn’t enjoying himself this season. While talking to David Alexander, he revealed that he felt, “too much pressure” and doesn’t like that others admire him for being a “good manipulator and liar.”
Aside from that, Tyler said he doesn’t like the “premise” of the show and hates” crushing other people’s dreams for his advantage. David reminded him that everyone signs up for it, but the BB20 star admitted that it affects you more than you think it does.
Following Bayleigh’s nomination, she confronted Ian over the rumors he was spreading about Dani and Nicole coming or them. Ian feels bad about the conversation, and reportedly tells Nicole he wants to self-evict.
Tyler informed Cody about the situation and explained that he didn’t want to get involved with any drama and won’t think twice to leave if “s**t starts happening.” Tyler approached Da’Vonne and Bayleigh in the Have-Not room and apologized to the ladies for thinking they did not trust him when did, and also admitted that he is starting to self-sabotage.
The BB20 runner-up said he is a competitor but wants to stand up for something bigger than himself, creating a clash between his mind and heart. After realizing how badly the ladies wanted to remain in the competition, Tyler confessed that he feels bad because he didn’t care about it as much, and that’s why the BB20 runner-up asked Christmas to use the POV on one of his allies and backdoor him so that he could go home.
