Yes, the 16-year-old actress recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on and spoke about being rejected for a role in Game of Thrones that made her reconsider her profession.
“I got a no for that and then that’s when I was like, ‘Oh, this is really difficult,'” Brown said, explaining she was “very disheartened” by the entertainment industry, which was “just full of rejection 24/7.”
After being rejected for the part in GOT, the actress decided to give a last shot at Netflix’s series, Montauk which got later titled Stranger Things.
“I auditioned and two months later they got back to us and said, ‘Hey we’d love to Skype with you,’ and I Skyped with them, and the rest is history. Montauk was definitely the one that kind of gave me that hope of doing it all again.” she recalled.
Last September, Stranger Things got renewed for season four but the shooting got postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. However, Netflix announced that the production has been kick-started.
