Democratic nominee Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump in the recently concluded US presidential election, much to the delight of his supporters.
Joe Biden supporters took to social media platforms to express their excitement, and celebrities were not far behind. Taking to her Instagram account on the day Biden’s victory was revealed, Charlize Theron posted an amazing picture of Biden and US Vice President-elect Kamala Harris celebrating their historic victory.
“As a woman, and as a mother, today’s news makes me immensely proud,” Theron captioned the photo. “I can look at my kids and finally tell them they live in a country that has chosen character and humanity over hate,” she added using hashtag #BidenHarris2020.
At the time of writing, the post had garnered 404,500 likes and had received numerous comments, including from some of her celebrity friends. “Boom! You are spot-on C… we have a chance to do so much now, here, and abroad,” chef, write traveler, and TV host Andrew Zimmern wrote, while photographer Greg Williams simply wrote, “Yes!!!.

The election results conclude a historic election amid a still raging coronavirus pandemic, which continues to claim numerous lives around the world. Democrats and Biden have repeatedly slammed Trump for his handling of the pandemic, while Trump left no stone unturned in a bid to plunder his rival’s notoriety.
