’90 Day Fiance’: Did Sumit Singh And Jenny Slatten Tie The Knot?

90 Day Fiance Jenny Sumit

90 Day Fiance‘s latest episode featured Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh. The duo raised quite a few eyebrows when they appeared in the series’ spin-off show dubbed, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.

The couple’s story concluded on a cliffhanger in the season 2 finale of the show, and 90 Day Fiance fans are restlessly waiting to find out they ended up tying the knot. The season 2 finale concluded with Jenny and Sumit revealing that they will not get married because Sumit’s parents, Anil and Sahana Singh were not willing to accept Jenny, 62, as their daughter-in-law.

The 90 Day Fiance finale aired on Nov. 29, picking up from where the last episode left off. The recently aired finale episode featured a tense scene with Sumit, 32, Jenny, Anil, and Sahana. Sumit’s parents refuse to give their son permission to marry Jenny, who is older than his own mother and thirty years senior to Sumit.

“Do you like this young kid? A son, younger than your daughter? Do you have a relationship with him? Shame. Shame, shame,” Sahana asks Jenny, shooting insults at her. The California native insisted that age shouldn’t matter because they love each other, but Sahana shoots back saying, “I am begging you, Jenny. Leave my son alone!”

“I will never, ever let you marry her! I’m going to commit suicide right here, right now, if you marry her. I swear on you,” she warned Sumit. In a confessional, Sumit admitted that he wasn’t sure if his mother was serious about her suicide threats, but he did not want to be the reason for his mother’s death.

Sumit finally agrees not to marry Jenny in the finale episode but refused to let Jenny go back to America. He told his father that he will get an Indian citizen for Jenny, and pleaded with his parents to let them live-in at least.

After Anil and Sahana left, Sumit explained the agreement he made with his parents to Jenny. “I understand why we can’t get married now because of what your mother said. But how sad. Like, our whole relationship is just done,” Jenny replied.

Although Sumit insisted that their love story wasn’t over, Jenny’s visa was on the verge of expiring. Sumit vowed he will figure out a way to allow Jenny to legally stay in India.

This is the third time Jenny visited Sumit in India, but she told him that if she left this time, she will not come back. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Jenny was able to file for an extension on her visa.

Jenny and Sumit are then seen celebrating by enjoying a picnic together, where Sumit gave her a promise ring that represents his commitment. Although still not married, 90 Day Fiance fans are likely to get to see more of Jenny and Sumit together.
