Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Review: ADHM is all about Love, Friendship & UNDERSTANDING other person’s perspective of looking towards you and your feelings. Karan Johar explains beautifully how one person’s love can be felt as friendship to other. We all have certain kind of affection towards people around us but every affection isn’t love.
Story: Ranbir Kapoor is a rich kid who is dating a bimbo (Lisa Haydon). Anushka Sharma enters her life after breaking up with his boyfriend whereas Ranbir also had a temporary breakup with her girlfriend and gets attracted towards Anushka. After sometime Anushka makes her realize that Lisa Haydon is dating him only because he is a rich kid. Finally Ranbir breaks up with Lisa. Anushka & Ranbir goes on a trip soon after the breakup and Ranbir catches feeling for Anushka. However Anushka who had breakup with her boyfriend (Fawad Khan) comes back to her. What happens next is simply worth watching.
Location: When it comes to Karan Johar’s movie, locations are to be huge and beautiful. This time beautiful locations has been used for the most funny parts of the movie which is very interesting.
Acting: In this movie we can see powerhouse of great actors including King Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) himself. First let’s start with Ranbir Kapoor who just simply steal the show. Ranbir’s on-screen presence is fantastic. You smile when he smiles, you laugh when he make funny moves and you cry when he feels the pain. Ranbir Kapoor is just amazing. Opposite Ranbir Kapoor there is Anushka Sharma who acted beautifully in both the half. Her bubbly and straightforward act can make anyone go “AWW”. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has a very short but important role in movie. Aishwarya’s entry happens after the interval, it’s crispy, elegant and emotional. Fawad Khan don’t even have 5-6min of proper role in the movie but still looks decent. Shah Rukh Khan kills it when he appears on-screen. It’s a treat for his fan to watch his closeups with such romantic dialogues.
Direction: Karan Johar again proved there is no one like him and the bench mark he creates every time with his films is unbreakable. Karan Johar is king of love story telling.
Music: There are total five songs in the movie and all of them completely suits the situation and emotion of the movie. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil tops all the songs whereas Channa Mereya is heart wrenching.
Personal Experience: As an emotional and sensitive person, I required atleast 1 pack of tissue in the first half. Rest you can figure out the amount of napkin you will need. This movie is for teenagers, adults, working people, seniors… in short, if you have ever fall in love or wish to understand why someone doesn’t love you back the way you love them then Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a must watch!
