Dwayne Johnson Shares New Poll Results Teasing His Presidential Run

Dwayne Johnson addressed himself as a “bald, tattooed, half-Black” while he shared new poll results regarding his future presidential run.

The 48-year-old actor doesn’t shy away when it comes to a future presidential run. He took to Instagram on Saturday to share a new poll result that shows 46% of Americans support Johnson’s presidential bid.

“Humbling,” he captioned. ” I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people.”

The new poll has surveyed more than 30,000 American adults and found that 29% of people supported a campaign of actor Matthew McConaughey and Johnson. However, there were more than 17% of people, who believed Johnson could make a solo bid.

Following the Instagram post, some celebs dropped their reaction in the comment section to support the former professional wrestler. Actor Tony Baker wrote, “I would not be surprised!!!!!!!” while another actor C.T. Fletcher noted, “THAT PERCENTAGE IS WAY TO LOW.”

More celebrities including Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and rapper Big Sean also supported “The Fate of the Furious” star’s presidential run. Johnson first spoke about running for President after Donald Trump won the election in 2016.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actor reflected on the election and said, “I wouldn’t rule it out. It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.”

He also took to Twitter in 2016 and wrote, “Cool piece on why I should run for President. Maybe one day. Surely the White House has a spot for my pick up truck.”

Since then, Johnson has been actively answering about his career in politics. In another interview with British GQ, the actor said, “I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure.”

“I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring,” he added. “And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.”

Johnson is currently filming his upcoming superhero movie, “Black Adam,” which is slated to release on July 29, 2022.
