Debunking rumors surrounding her friendship with Meghan Markle, Jessica Mulroney recently whether she and the Duchess of Sussex are still in touch.
Stylist Jessica Mulroney debunked rumors suggesting that she is no longer friends with Meghan Markle. In a since-deleted post on her Instagram Story, the Canadian stylist opened up about where her friendship with the former Suits star stands.
“I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family,” she wrote, per PEOPLE. “She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me every day,” Mulroney added.
She called the tabloid culture “atrocious,” and went on to accuse it of creating lies and hurtful storyline. Mulroney urged her followers to stop paying heed to such baseless rumors.
Jessica and Meghan have been close for quite some time now. It can be recalled that Jessica’s daughter Ivy was Markle’s bridesmaid at her wedding to Prince Harry, while her twin sons John and Brian acted as page boys for the ceremony.
Taking to her Instagram account, Jessica shared a supportive message after she and Prince Harry decided to step back from their royal duties. Fans raised questions about Jessica removing a photo of her son Brian holding Meghan’s veil during her wedding to Prince Harry.
“People often ask why I delete certain posts,” the celebrity stylist wrote on Sept. 8. She went on to speak about the bullying and hatred she has received for three years, adding that she is tired of looking at it.
This summer, at the center of a “PR crisis” Black influencer Sasha Exeter, accused Mulroney of using “textbook white privilege” to urge brands to stop working with her. After the scandal, tabloids reports suggested that Meghan was “mortified” by the situation, and began to avoid Mulroney as a result.
Mulroney’s latest statement about her friendship with Markle, it is clear that none of those reports were true.
