Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seem to have already revealed the names they would like for the baby girl. Archie’s sister is expected to arrive this summer.
The popular couple has hinted at possible name contenders. In 2019, the couple headed to the town of Birkenhead for name suggestions from a group of school children, when they were expecting Archie.
Megan Dudley, 7, spoke with the Duchess of Sussex revealed that their friends call them “Meg.” “I asked her whether she would call her baby Amy if she has a girl, and she said, ‘That’s a really pretty name, I like it. We’ll have to think about it,'” Dudley told reporters.
Prince Harry Is Interested In This Sweet Name
Harry seemed interested in the name “Lilly,” as he asked a mother how she spelled her daughter’s name. During a royal tour in Oct. 2018, the royal couple took a short ride to South Melbourne Beach in one of Melbourne, Australia’s iconic trams along with student sustainability leaders.
12-year-old Charlie Wolf asked the couple about the name of their royal baby. The former Suits actress replied, “We’ve been given a long list of names from everyone, we’re going to sit down and have a look at them.”
When Meghan and Harry Met A Fan
Another name surfaced in Melbourne that could make the shortlist. Meghan and Harry met a fan with a baby named Harriet, which is the female version of the prince’s own name. Mother Jessica later told Express that Harry said: “That’s a great name.”
Following the death of Prince Philip earlier this year, gambling site Ladbrokes predicts the name “Philippa” as a contender for Harry’s daughter.
“The support for baby Philippa is showing no signs of slowing down, and we’ve been forced to trim the odds again that it’s the name for Harry and Meghan’s daughter,” Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said.
Other top-name predictions include Diana, after Harry’s late mother Princess Diana. Aside from that, Elizabeth is another name prediction, honoring Harry’s grandmother the Queen. For more updates, keep watching this space.
