Miley Cyrus Writes A Letter To Hannah Montana On Show’s 15th Anniversary

On the 15th Anniversary of the “Hannah Montana” series, the American singer Miley Cyrus wrote a letter to her former TV alter ego, Hannah Montana.

The 23-year-old singer shared her memories from the Disney series and showed her gratitude for the character who gave her that stardom.

On Wednesday, Cyrus took over her Instagram to share this letter, “Hi Hannah, It’s been a while. 15 years to be exact. Since the first time, I slid those blonde bangs over my forehead in the best attempt to conceal my identity. Then slipped into a puke pink terry cloth robe with a bedazzled HM over the [heart],” she wrote with pink ink.

“I didn’t know then that is where you would live forever. Not just in mine but in millions of people around the world,” she continued writing.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer also mentioned the milestones she encountered while being a part of the show, including the time when she embarrassingly got her first period while wearing white capri pants and getting her learner’s permit at 15 so she could drive herself to set.

“You and I have been through it all together my friend,” Cyrus wrote. “We’ve shared many firsts. A lot of lasts. Ups. Downs. Tears and laughs.”

She ended the letter by saying thank you to the show’s cast, crew, her family, and everyone who helped her to get her big break. However, the most credit she gave for her success was to the character, which she calls “the greatest gift a girl could ask for.”

She addresses Hannah directly by writing, “you have all my love and utmost gratitude. Breathing life into you for those 6 years was an honor.”
