We all observe various important days in our own way and then there is King Khan (Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood Actor) who celebrates every red letter day in his own unprecedented way.
On the occasion of International Day of Persons that are differently-abled, Shah Rukh Khan attended a send-off which was hosted by the Paralympics Committee.
The event was held for the Indian contingent who are para-athletes taking part in Asian Para Games 2018. Shah Rukh Khan didn’t just attend the event but also distributed 50 wheelchairs.
The actor runs an NGO in the name of his father, Meer Foundation that has been working with Wheeling Happiness foundation by Deepa Malik to ensure an uninterrupted journey of the athletes.

Shah Rukh Khan said in the speech that Deepa Malik is not just an inspiration but also a reflection of ourselves as everyone is incomplete in some way or the other. It is up to us to embrace our imperfections and focus on goals to achieve them.
“It has been a privilege knowing and associating with Deepa for a cause as virtuous as this. She is not just an inspiration to many but also a reflection of ourselves as we all are incomplete in one way or the other, and it is for us to embrace our imperfections and achieve our goals,” Shah Rukh Khan said.
Felicitating these para-athletes is a step forward in achieving the dream of representing India at the Paralympics,’ he added.
Deepa Malik happens to be the first Indian woman to achieve her goals in the shot put 2016 Summer Paralympic Games by winning a silver medal.
Deepa said, it’s not just a contribution by Shah Rukh Khan but a gracious step he took which not only facilitates but also boosts the confidence and motivate the athletes.
