Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested on Sunday after he attended a party on a cruise. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raid the ship and arrested Aryan along with seven other people.

“All eight, including Aryan Khan, are being questioned. Based on their statements further action will be taken,” the anti-drug agency said on the same day. Besides Aryan, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra and Arbaaz Merchant were arrested.

Shah Rukh, on the other hand, was spotted heading towards his lawyer’s office before the arrest news was confirmed.

An outlet took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to share a video featuring Aryan and captioned, “Mumbai: Three of the eight detained persons, in connection with the raid at a party at a cruise off the Mumbai coast, were being taken for the medical test by NCB.”

According to another outlet, Aryan has been charged under sections 8C, 20B, 27, and 35 of the NDPS act.

Netizens took to the comments section of the post to express their opinion.

One of the users sarcastically wrote, “Lets see- for how many days these kids will remain ‘arrested’..}” while another user wrote, “Bravo!!!!! Set a good example and please advise your sons daughters to idolise the right figure. Know the difference now?”

A netizen shared concern regarding “modern Bollywood” and commented, “Youths of the Nation…. are you listening and watching what is happening ?? Beware of Modern Bollywood! they have the tendency to make you Drug addict…”

Meanwhile, actor Sunil Shetty also shared his views on Aryan’s arrest. ANI tweeted, “When a raid is conducted at a place, many people are taken into custody. We assume that a particular boy must have consumed it (drugs). The process is on. Let’s give that child a breather. Let real reports come out: Actor Sunil Shetty on NCB raid at an alleged rave party.”

Netizens bashed Shetty for supporting Aryan by calling him a “kid” in this case.

One of the users wrote, “23 year old kid? KID? So you saying something wrong? He never reached adolescence and maturity? Why was the kid out without parents at night?” another user wrote, “23 years old isn’t baccha [Kid]. He is an adult and a drug addict. He must be punished as per law and then sent to rehabilitation.”
